Terms of use
The rules of the room, in the plainest language we can manage.

Who may join
You must be 18 or over and joining for yourself. One account per person and one account per phone number. You must use your real first name and your own current photographs.
Verification
Membership requires passing our review: six photographs to the published brief, a valid identity document, and a video interview. We may decline an application, and we may withdraw verification later if we find that the information given was false. Verification is free and cannot be bought, expedited or appealed with money.
How to behave here
- Do not misrepresent your age, your name, your marital status or your photographs.
- Do not harass, threaten, or continue contacting somebody who has stopped replying.
- Do not ask members for money, investments or gifts. This is the most common form of abuse on services like ours and we remove accounts for it without warning.
- Do not share another member’s photographs, messages or details outside the app. The held-back frames in particular are shared with you in confidence.
- Do not use Spousora for commercial solicitation of any kind.
We suspend or remove accounts that break these rules. Where a report involves a credible threat to somebody’s safety, we cooperate with law enforcement.
Membership and payment
Free membership is permanent and includes verification. Paid tiers add reach: Regular is a one-time access fee unless stated otherwise at the point of purchase, and Premium is a recurring monthly subscription that you can cancel at any time. Prices are shown in your region’s currency before you pay.
Payments are taken by Paystack or Stripe. Because access is granted immediately, fees are generally non-refundable — but if something went wrong, write to us and we will look at it properly.
What we do not promise
We verify that members are who they say they are. We do not vouch for anybody’s character, intentions or conduct, and we cannot promise that you will meet somebody. Use the same judgement meeting a member as you would meeting anybody else: meet in public first, and tell somebody where you are going.
Your content
Your photographs and words remain yours. You give us permission to show them to other members as part of running the service, and nothing more — we do not use them in advertising or on this website unless you have separately agreed.
Ending it
You can close your account at any time from the app or by emailing us, and we will remove your profile, photographs and messages. We may close an account that breaks these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Nothing here removes rights you have under the consumer law of the country you live in.
